Skins the rise is a special long lengthen episode consisting of part 1 and 2. Skins in a teen drama which is aired on E4 and it's target auidence would be teens between the ages of 16-20. Teen dramas have elements of soap operas story lines, however the characters are mainly all teenagers and get up to teenage antics.
Review on this episode
The episode I watched so three characters, Cook, Emma and Charley. They are shown driving away from an event which occured in the first part of the rise and trying to get away from it. They end up in Emma family house in the middle of nowhere but are found and have to keep on running away from the event which took place.
Emma is represented as a strong mined girl who is not afriad to tell you her opinion. We see her talking back to her parents and her friends. I find that Emma comes across as very idependent for example, we find out that she has not been in contact with her family for two years and does not see eye to eye with her father. Emma does not get on with Charley and lets her know it. Emma is very cocky and confident and will not allow characters who are more feisty than her such as Cook, walk over her.
Charley on the other hand comes across as very fragile and shy. She allows characters bigger than her such as Emma, walk over her. There is a scence in this eposide where her boyfriend, who had recently murder somewhere turns up at Emma parents house. We see Charley in this scence become very weak, however she tries to argue back showing him she is not afriad by words, but her body language shows different. She is shaking and is breathing very heavily. This shows us she is afraid of Louie, her boyfriend and allows him to talk to her in the way he does.
